Vermont Cheese Council's Business Miniversity

Vermont Cheese Council is hosting a Business Miniversity this spring to provide valuable business skills training to cheesemakers, farmers, and food producers. We welcome food industry professionals from anywhere to join us! This 12-session program runs on Mondays and Wednesdays from May 8 to June 21 (with Memorial Day and Juneteenth off). All sessions are virtual, each running for 90 minutes beginning at 12:00 noon Eastern Time. Topics to be featured include Recruiting, Onboarding, and Culture; Healthcare Options for Producers; Strategic Planning; Creating Brand Awareness; Sustainability of Producers and Work-Life Balance; Project Management; Applying for (and Implementing) Grants and Other Funding Resources; Managing Your Team; and more! Leading the sessions are experts from such organizations as Vermont Farm & Forest Viability, Vermont Manufacturing Extension Center, Farm First, Place Creative Company, and Vermont Legal Aid's Office of the Health Care Advocate. Registration for the Business Miniversity only costs $100 per person for the entire slate of 12 sessions. (Passes for additional viewers sharing the same screen can easily be purchased on the main registrant's purchase page.) All sessions will be recorded for viewing through the end of July if you happen to miss any while they are broadcast live. Please contact Claire Natola, VCC's Education Coordinator, at claire[at]vtcheese.com to inquire about an ACS member discount. Sponsored by Organic Valley, Cabot Creamery, Community National Bank, and Passumpsic Bank, the Business Miniversity is designed to inspire, to educate, and to strengthen the businesses that Vermont Cheese Council is proud to support.
