About the Presenter Katie Grice has been packing and shipping cheese directly to customers for over 4 years, building teams and setting up assembly lines to efficiently and accurately send out products all over the country. She specializes in Lean Manufacturing Practices, a part of the Toyota Production System. She learned a huge amount of shipping skills from working as the Shipping Manager for the Cellars at Jasper Hill in Greensboro, Vermont. Today, she works as the Process Evolution Manager in New York City for Murray’s Cheese. In that role, Katie focuses on how to work with leaders to build systems across multiple departments so that they are set up to maintain a high level of productivity, even when unexpected variables or changes can challenge the system. Her favorite part of her role at Murray’s Cheese is blending two of her favorite passions: helping people and sharing really good cheese.
